Lets Celebrate Our Achievements

Sensels School has grown from strength to strength as the years have gone by. Participation in inter-school programs has been healthy. The school participates in competitions in which we have pupils of that level, as yet.

Quizzes, Essay Competitions, dance, culture, drama, and sports disciplines that the school has participated in have brought great results, endearing the school to win the hearts of many parents who are proud to be their wards don

the blue colors of the school uniform.

The community of Taifa has also accepted the school to be among the best it has to offer considering the academic exploits in English, Mathematics, Religious, and Culture.

The school has also come to the notice of the newly formed Ga East District Education unit, and it hopes that in a few years’ time, Sensels will be a beacon to lift the standards in the district.

We have presented 11 batches of Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE) students to write the national exams who have excelled each year and this has made Sensels School famous for its academic prowess, making her unarguably, the best school in the Ga West District of Accra and one of the best in Ghana.

Other Achievements

In 2001, in a school essay writing and spelling B’ competition, organized by Ghana Library Board, Sensels took second place.

The school won the line and spoon event in 2006 organized at the Ga East district schools games.

Sensels on the basketball, table tennis, and soccer competition involving six other schools held at Lapax at a sister school in 2006.

Over the years, Sensels being a Christian School has successfully organized prayer meetings dubbed ‘mothers all night’ for all mothers of the school. They come together praying and interceding for their children and husbands.

Sensels at one time opened its library doors to the Taifa community children between ages 4 years and 15 years.

A Sensels Adult Educational Programme started in 2006 to help parents and members of the community better themselves in English and Maths.

The pupils paid a trip to the Osu children’s home to donate items of food, clothing, cash, etc, and since then the custom every quarter is for children to bring their unwanted clothes which are donated to orphanages & villages all over the country under the school’s NGO Programme – ‘Child In Need Foundation.’

As part of the activities marking the school’s tenth anniversary, the school donated free items of books, crayons, pencils, etc to six churches in the community. Free car stickers were also given to most Taifa drivers.

The school donated cash and some anniversary souvenirs to the Sulemana Nuhu Foundation and the Staff of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.

Pupils of Sensels over the years have had articles of poems, jokes, and short stories appear regularly in the Junior Graphic.

Pupils since 2005 have participated in the write around the world commonwealth Essay competition.

Work has just started on a proposed three-story primary and JHS block at Sensels East.
